Islamabad : In the weekly press briefing held on April 18, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Pakistan addressed several key regional and international issues. The spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, emphasizing that Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory.

The briefing also highlighted Pakistan’s concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for an immediate and full implementation of the ceasefire and urging the international community to facilitate reconstruction efforts.

Additionally, the spokesperson discussed the ongoing challenges posed by terrorism, particularly the activities of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating from Afghan soil, and reiterated the need for the Afghan authorities to take decisive action against such groups.

On the diplomatic front, Pakistan expressed its intent to strengthen ties with neighboring countries and major powers, including continued engagement with the United States and Russia, aiming to foster regional peace and development.
