RAWALPINDI: Army chief , Qamar Javed Bajwa,, on Tuesday said Pakistan was committed to foil conspiracies hatched by evil forces against China- Pakistan Economic – Corridor (CPEC).
.The army chief expressed Pakistan’s firm committment to CPEC project and its completion in time at any cost while speaking to Chinese ambassador to Pakistan who called on him here on Tuesday.
The army chief said CPEC was a gamechanger to bring economic prosperity in the region. He said Pakistan was fully aware of the nefarious designs of the evil forces meant to sabotage CPEC and its law enforcing agencies (LEAs) were on high alert to provide flawless security to CPEC project.
The Chinese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in ensuring peace in the region.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) handout issued after the meeting , army chief and Chinese ambassador discussed all issues of mutual interest including the new situation in Aghanistan.
The handout added that China will keep supporting its strategic partnership with Pakistan .
German Foreign minister also called on the army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa , on Tuesday. The army chief told the visiting Foreign minister that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Germany.
German Foreign minister, who is currently visiting Pakistan , thanked the army chief for the support that Pakistan extended for evacuation of its troops from Afghanistan.
