Islamabad (Newsman): There will be a price hike for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in December, according to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
By the latest announcement, the price of LPG per kilogram has increased by Rs 1.32 to Rs 254.30.
11.8 kg household LPG cylinder would now cost Rs 3,079 as a result. In November, the same cylinder cost Rs 2,999.47, which is an increase of Rs 79.53.
This price hike is expected to impact household energy costs.
On the other hand, the federal government is expected to revise petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan during the upcoming fortnightly review for December 2024.

The new petroleum prices will be announced on November 30, with the updated rates set to take effect from December 1 to 15.
Prices for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene oil are predicted to increase by PKR 3.15, PKR 3.20, and PKR 4 per liter, respectively, according to reports.
The primary cause of the possible increase has been identified as the volatility of the world’s crude oil prices.
On November 30, a final decision regarding petroleum prices will be made.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will confer before the new tariffs are revealed. The Ministry of Petroleum is now drafting proposals for the Ministry of Finance.
The current prices for gasoline, high-speed diesel, light diesel oil, and kerosene are PKR 248.38, 255.14, 147.51, and 161.54 a liter, respectively.

As domestic markets continue to be impacted by the volatility of the global oil price, the forecasted changes are expected to affect both consumers and industries.
