JEDDAH: A prestigious cake-cutting ceremony was organized by the Yaran-e-Jeddah Group in Jeddah to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day and celebrate the birthday of senior group member Malik Umar Farooq Kakazai. The event was attended by prominent members of the Pakistani community from various cities across Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony was presided over by former Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Waraich, while Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar, Chairman of the Pak Media Journalist Forum International, served as the master of ceremonies.
In his welcome address, Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Chairman of PML-N Saudi Arabia, welcomed all distinguished guests and participants and extended his heartfelt greetings on Pakistan’s Independence Day and Malik Umar Farooq Kakazai’s birthday.
The event was also addressed by former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain, Chairman Investors Forum Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood, Chairman Kashmir Committee Masood Ahmed Puri, PPP Saudi Arabia President Chaudhry Tasawwar Hussain, Chairman Blue Sher Group Chaudhry Blue Sher Waraich, Chaudhry Riffaqat Ghumman, Chaudhry Tayyab Gujjar, and Chairman All Pakistan Gujjar Association Chaudhry Saqlain Gujjar.
The speakers highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices and struggles of the leaders and people who contributed to the Pakistan Movement. They also congratulated Malik Umar Farooq Kakazai on his birthday and appreciated the spirit of unity, friendship and brotherhood promoted by the Yaran-e-Jeddah Group.
The celebration was further enlivened by performances from renowned Sufi band vocalist Muskan Javed and popular singer Qalb Ali Mehndi, who presented national songs and patriotic melodies, drawing enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Chaudhry Azhar Waraich and Malik Umar Farooq Kakazai thanked all the guests and participants for attending the gathering. They jointly cut the cake amid applause and celebrations.
On the occasion, guests and participants also presented Malik Umar Farooq Kakazai with bouquets of flowers and special gifts, extending their warm wishes for his health, happiness and continued success.
