RAWALPINDI. Pakistan òn Tuesday inducted VT-4 tank in its army.
VT-4 is a main battle tank and its induction would enhance Pakistan’s military might. The VT -4 tank is a joint venture production of Pakistan and China.
VT- 4 tank is a third-generation MBT designed and developed by China North Industries Corporation (Norinco).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) , Army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa, participated in a ceremony held at Gujranwala garrison for induction of VT-4 tank.
The army chief on this occasion said induction of VT-4 tank in the armed forces was a part of Pakistan’s military strategy to enhance its capability of fighting a conventional war. He said VT-4 tank is yet another proof of Pak-China strategic cooperation. The army chief added the fast changing war shapes demand continuous induction of modern weaponry to upgrade Pakistan’s military power.
