Rawalpindi : May 28,2024 : Pak Navy successfully foiled a major drug smuggling attempt in the North Arabian Sea. According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Aslat seized a large quantity of narcotics in the North Arabian Sea during regional maritime security patrolling.
According to the spokesman ISPR, the seized drugs are worth thousands of dollars in the international market. It should be remembered that 3 days ago, the Pakistan Navy had deployed the naval warship PNS Aaslat on regional maritime security patrol in the Indian Ocean, which will ensure the safety of commercial ships coming and going to Pakistani ports with a special helicopter. . ISPR had said that the purpose of deployment of PNS Origin is also to ensure the security of international shipping, during the deployment the Pakistan Navy ship will conduct joint operations with friendly and partner countries in addition to its own operations.
ISPR said that the PNS will also visit regional ports as part of the original naval diplomacy. According to the spokesman of the Pakistan Army, warships of the Pakistan Navy regularly perform duties on the Regional Maritime Security Patrol.
