LAHORE: Pakistan on Tuesday rounded up New Zealand by winning its second match in a row in its group.
New Zealand lost the toss and Pakistan opted to field first. Pakistani seamers , Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Sohail played a wonderful game with the ball. Haris Sohail took four wickets and restricted Kiwi side to 134 runs in limited overs. Pakistan, unlike last game with India, suffered early loses. Babar Azam got out when his individual score was only 9 runs. After his dismisal , Fakhar Zaman also got out early. Then Rizwan, who was in total control over his game, got out when his individual score was 33 runs. Pakistan had lost 5 wickets when its total score was 79. At this stage , Pakistan ‘s grip on the match seemed weakening. However, Shoab Malik and Mohammad Asif remained upbeat . Both played stunning strokes that ultimately took
Pakistan to an easy victory over New Zealand in the second last match.
After beating India and then New Zealand, Pakistan got position with 4 points in its group.
Pakistan will play matches against Afghanistan , Scotland and Nimibia.

Information minister, Fawad Hussain Chaudhary, made interesting remarks over Pakistan’s win in Tuesday’s match against New Zealand. He said ” The real anguish was over New Zealand that abandoned match in Rawalpindi and India just come across to get defeated by team Pakistan”.
