Later, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in his conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, said that he welcomes Tehran’s role in reducing tensions in the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had arrived in Islamabad on an official visit in connection with Iran’s mediation efforts on the Pak-India tension.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar warmly welcomed his Iranian counterpart at the Foreign Office, and he will also visit India after his visit to Pakistan.
An important meeting was held between the two foreign ministers at the Foreign Office, after which Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, speaking to the media, said that his meeting with Ishaq Dar during his visit to Pakistan was useful. He said that he discussed three basic points with his Pakistani counterpart, the regional situation and Pakistan-India relations in detail.
On this occasion, Ishaq Dar said that he discussed the current situation with the Iranian Foreign Minister and gave him a detailed briefing on the Pahalgam incident, in which it was stated that Pakistan has no connection with the Pahalgam incident.
