Lahore : Pakistan defeated South Africa in third T20 match played here st Qadafi Stadium on Saturday evening.
South Africa batted first and scored 139 in stipulated 20 overs. Its batting line tumbled in the early overs. Its two batters got out in the power play. Pakistani bowlers , particularly, Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled impressively with the new ball and got out two main batters of the visiting side.
Other Pakistani bowlers Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf also bowled beautifully . Faheem got two wickets and Salman Mirza picked up one wicket in their allotted four overs.
South Africa could manage 139 runs on its turn. It set a target of 140 runs for Pakistan . Pakistan also lost its first wicket too early when Saim Ayub got out for duck . After Saim Ayub ‘s dismissal , Babar Azam came on the crease. He took the charge to play a big inning in this match. He played a great game and took to Pakistan’s score with Salman Agha close to a winning total. He got out when his individual score was 68 runs. Babar Azam’s Fabolous batting pleased 32000 cricket fans who were sitting inside the stadium during the match. Pakistan ‘s batting fumbled in the last few overs , but it , by the time , had reached closed to the winning line . In the end, Usman Khan played a winning hit and sealed victory for Pakistan against visiting South Africa in the last T20 series.
With Saturday’s win in T20 in Lahore , Pakistan. won the last match of T20 along with series against South Africa.
Babar Azam was declared the man of the match.
