JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) :The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, in collaboration with the Pakistan Investors Forum, organized a one-day Pakistani Mango Festival at a local supermarket, highlighting Pakistan’s world-renowned mangoes and promoting the country’s agricultural exports in the Saudi market.
The festival was inaugurated by Consul General of Pakistan Syed Mustafa Rabbani, accompanied by Sheikh Imad Al-Aboud, Vice Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, along with prominent Saudi businessmen and business representatives.
The exhibition featured a wide range of premium Pakistani mango varieties, as well as value-added products including mango cakes, pastries, biscuits and other confectionery. The event attracted a large number of Saudi visitors, members of the Pakistani community and expatriates, who appreciated the unique taste, aroma and quality of Pakistani mangoes.
Speaking at the inauguration, Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani said the festival was part of the Consulate’s ongoing efforts to promote Pakistani products in Saudi Arabia and strengthen bilateral trade ties. He said the Consulate would continue organizing similar events to introduce Pakistani agricultural products to the Saudi market.

He added that Pakistani kinnow also enjoys strong demand in Saudi Arabia and other international markets, and announced that a similar promotional event would be organized during the upcoming kinnow season.
The Consul General thanked Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood, President of the Pakistan Investors Forum, for his support and cooperation in successfully organizing the festival.
Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood said the Pakistan Investors Forum is committed to creating new opportunities for Pakistani exporters by promoting high-quality agricultural products in Saudi Arabia. He noted that public exhibitions and business engagement activities play an important role in enhancing bilateral trade and investment, adding that the Forum would continue working closely with Pakistan’s diplomatic missions to support exporters and strengthen commercial relations between the two countries.
Commercial Consul Saadia Khan from the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah and Commercial Consul Dr. Zareen from the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh also attended the event. They briefed Saudi visitors and business representatives on the quality, diversity and export potential of Pakistani agricultural products.
Community leaders welcomed the initiative, describing it as an effective platform for promoting Pakistan’s positive image and expanding the market for Pakistani products in the Kingdom. They said such events also strengthen people-to-people contacts and deepen economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi businessmen attending the festival praised the sweetness, flavour and premium quality of Pakistani mangoes, expressing confidence that such promotional events would contribute to increased imports and stronger trade and cultural relations between the two countries.
Similar Pakistani mango promotion events have previously been organized in Riyadh and Dammam by Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in collaboration with the Pakistan Investors Forum, receiving an encouraging response from local consumers and the business community.
