KARACHI — Pakistan’s largest technology event, the World CIO 200 Summit 2026 – Pakistan Edition, was held in Karachi, bringing together leading Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), technology experts, business personalities and digital leaders from Pakistan and around the world.
The chief guest at the summit was Ali Rashid, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Science and Information Technology. During the summit, prominent individuals who made significant contributions to technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, innovation and leadership were honoured with the CIO 200 Awards.
The World CIO 200 Summit Pakistan Chapter is led by Syed Abdul Qadir, whose efforts brought together prominent figures from the global technology and digital sectors on a single platform in Pakistan.
The event was attended by international technology experts and business leaders, including Zainab Khatib from the Middle East, Furkan Ozer from Türkiye, Egor Rykov from Russia, Adnan Rafique Ahmed from Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Erdal Ozkaya from the United States, along with other distinguished guests.
The summit featured detailed discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, digital transformation, emerging technologies, global collaboration and future digital trends. Speakers highlighted the rapidly evolving global technology landscape and the growing opportunities for digital development in Pakistan.
