Pakistan’s Night Sky to Feature Year’s Brightest Supermoon

As a Hunter’s Supermoon approaches Earth in its orbit, astronomers report that it appears 7% larger and shines 14% brighter.

Islamabad: The third supermoon of the year is expected to pass over Pakistan this evening, providing a breathtaking celestial show after sunset.

For those who are keen to observe the night sky, the supermoon will be visible beginning at 4:26 p.m., offering a breathtaking view.

This supermoon will be the brightest by a small margin and the third of four in a row.

The Moon will appear larger and brighter than normal at this time because it will be at its closest point to Earth, around 226,000 kilometers away.

This phenomenon can also be seen in other parts of the world, including New Zealand, Japan, and Australia.

According to astronomers, a supermoon happens as the Moon approaches Earth during its orbit, making it appear 7% larger and shine 14% brighter.

The next supermoon is predicted to appear in the sky on November 15, which will increase curiosity about lunar observations.

This happened late Wednesday night for those west of the International Date Line and early Friday morning for those in New Zealand and farther east.

From Tuesday night to Friday morning, the moon is predicted to be full for around three days.

There are even times when two full moons fall inside a single lunar month, according to astronomers. When this occurs, the second moon is called a “Blue Moon,” which gives the lunar calendar an additional level of mystery.
