PDM launching anti govt drive from today

PMLN to begin protest from Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD; The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has constituted its committees to join anti- government campaign being launched from Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi from October 20, 2021 (Today).
A decision to this effect
was taken at a party meeting held here with PMLN president, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, in the chair. A number of important party leaders including former prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former Interior minister Ahsin Iqbal, Saad Rafiq and Maryam Aurangzeb participated in the meeting.
The party committees at federal and provincial levels would mobilise the masses to make countrywide anti- government campaign a success.
PMLN, being the largest party , will play a key role in making PDM anti- government campaign a success.
PDM had decided to launch a countrywide anti -government campaign a few days ago to protest against the price-hike in the country.

Talking to NEWSMAN after the party meeting on Tuesday , Ahsin Iqbal said ” The protest in Rawalpindi against the price-hike was a part of PDM’s announced decisions and PMLN will take part in anti- government protest . He said the protest and anti government rallies are starting in whole of Pakistan from October 20. He said the government’s wrong policies have pushed Pakistan and its people in difficult times and it was the responsibility of PDM and its leadership to throw the most corrupt and imcompetent government out of power. Ahsin Iqbal said “in today’s meeting PMLN comstituted committees at tehsil and town level to mobilise the masses against what he termed unoaralelled price-hike in the country. He said as per PDM decisions, its all member parties will organise protest in all cities across Pakistan the price-hike created by the government of Imran Khan.
