ISLAMABAD. PIA has fired 5.more suspected pilots , besides dismissing 58 others from service. The PIA spokesman announced on August 3, 2020 that action against suspected pilots and fake.degree holders was a part of the on-goung weeding.out the organisation of fake degree holders emoyees and suspected pilots. PIA spokesman said in July organjsation took action against 63 employees and these included 28 fake degree holders and 27 ghost employèes. Despite huge critism from the opposition and some.other quarters , the PTI government seems committed to purge PIA of suspected pilots and ghost employees . It has so far fired more than 33 suspected pilots and over 100 fake degree holders and ghost employees in the last two months.
