JEDDAH: The Pakistan Investors Forum hosted a grand ceremony in Jeddah to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with prominent members of the Pakistani and Saudi communities attending the event in large numbers.
The ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and featured tributes to the longstanding brotherly relations and enduring friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The chief guest was retired Saudi Air Force Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Hanani. Engineer Hafiz Jaffer served as the master of ceremonies, while Qari Muhammad Asif recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the Pakistan Investors Forum Chaudhry Muhammad Shafqat welcomed the participants and extended heartfelt greetings to the Saudi leadership and people on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day.
He described Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations as historic and deeply rooted in brotherhood, saying that Saudi Arabia is not only a close friend of Pakistan but also holds a special religious and spiritual significance for the Pakistani people.
Retired Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Hanani, Sheikh Turki Al-Turki Falcon, Nazar Al-Ali and Dr. Subai Al-Haddad also addressed the ceremony. They thanked the Pakistani community for celebrating Saudi National Day and appreciated the love, sincerity and enthusiasm demonstrated by Pakistanis living in the Kingdom.
The speakers described the Pakistani community as a brotherly community and acknowledged the significant contribution made by Pakistanis to the development and progress of Saudi Arabia. They also highlighted the strong people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Chairman of the Pakistan Investors Forum Core Committee Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Waraich also addressed the gathering and congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on the National Day.
He said that overseas Pakistanis stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi brothers and that the Pakistani community would continue to play its role in strengthening the bonds of friendship, fraternity and mutual respect between the two countries.
Forum General Secretary Mehr Abdul Khaliq Lak and Chairman of the Kashmir Committee Masood Ahmad Puri also addressed the ceremony. They extended their greetings to the Saudi people and highlighted the importance of the close and longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
A special documentary highlighting the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was screened during the event and received keen interest from the participants. The ceremony also featured national and patriotic songs, while participants expressed their solidarity and friendship between the two brotherly nations.
The event concluded with the cutting of a cake to celebrate Saudi National Day. Participants expressed their best wishes for the security, prosperity and continued development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Pakistani and Saudi guests also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the brotherly relations and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
