ISLAMABAD : information minister, Maryam Aurangzeb, on Tuesday said prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, will address the nation soon
Ms Maryam made this announcement on the very first day in her ministry . Maryam Aurangzeb also made several other important announcements during her meetings with the senior officials of her ministry. She announced to delete social media cell in the ministry, besides reversing all laws introduced by the last government . She said her ministry would see how the controversial PECA was misused against the journalist. The Information minister called the PTI rule as black regime for journalists and declared the ministry of Information will protect the journalists if any one of them will be harassed or threatened by ousted ‘goons’.
The prime minister would like to take the nation into confidence over current economic situation and place before the nation a comprehensive plan to address issues confronted with Pakistan. The prime minister would also like to unveil a comprehensive plan to cease killing inflation and subsequent financial burden on the public large. He will announce a relief for the pro poor in his first ever address to the nation. Shahbaz Sharif will also reiterate his offer to India for resolving outstanding issues including Kashmir to establish lasting peace in the region. The prime minister will also deliver a special message to the US,European Union and rest of the world to strengthen bilateral ties with them.
