Islamabad, PML-N Parliamentary Leader Irfan Siddiqui Expresses Solidarity with Journalists National Assembly Press Gallery, ‘’I have come to express solidarity with journalists’’. He said that language used by the PTI leaders regarding the journalists is regrettable.
He said that in the PTI rally what message of goodwill has been conveyed? He said that No positive message was conveyed by the impugned rally, the speeches and tone in the rally was deplorable and condemnable.
Speaking to the media in the press gallery of the National Assembly, Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that the media was blamed in the PTI rally, no positive message was conveyed through the rally, and the senator said that the right to protest is associated with the fundamental rights of citizens.
He said that PTI has a history of violence and chaos in the name of protest. The riots and anarchy that have been done to revenge the leadership and workers of the PML-N cannot be called the success of the rally. He said speeches and the tone in the rally are regrettable and condemnable. He said that Speaker National Assembly has taken steps on yesterday’s issue, he stated that he is sure Speaker National Assembly will take the matter to its logical end.
Moreover Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui said it must be determined what constitutes a political party and guidance must be sought from Article 17 of the Constitution.

PML-N’s parliamentary leader in the Senate said if any group outside the scope of Article 17 is considered a political party, then the same privilege must be extended to other such groups, or the Constitution of Pakistan must be amended.

Irfan Siddiqui said that it must be determined whether a group that protests to prevent international financial institutions from assisting Pakistan, collaborates with Indian lobbies to disgrace Pakistan, attacks more than 250 defense installations within hours, insults martyrs, conspires to incite rebellion within the army, uses its media influence against national security institutions, accepts funds from enemies of Pakistan, and makes efforts to isolate Pakistan globally, should be formally recognized as a political party under Article 17.
