LAHORE; Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) kept its winning streak intact by bagging victory in PP 206 Khanewal by -election .
PMLN candidate, Rana Saleem Hanif won by-election of PP 206 Khanewal with a big margin. He got 47649 votes. He runner up Naureen Nishaat Daha of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) got 34030 votes. Pakistan People Party candidate, Syed Wasiq, got 15059 votes.
Turnout for PP 206 Khanewal remained 48.85 %.
PMLN vice president, Maryam Nawaz congratulated Rana Saleem Hanif and other party workers who worked hard in the election and secured victory for PMLN. She said ” Welldone tigers, you deserve to be appreciated”.
PMLN had won a National Assembly seat in Lahore in recent past. This shows PMLN growing popularity at least in Punjab.
