PMS officers donate one-day salary for flood victims in KPK

Peshawar – In the wake of the devastating cloudbursts and flash floods that have caused widespread destruction across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Provincial Management Service (PMS) Association has announced a generous contribution to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts.

In an official letter addressed to the Secretary Finance, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chairman PMS Association, Mr. Noman Wazir, expressed heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the disaster.The Association acknowledged the tragic loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods and reaffirmed its solidarity with the victims during this critical time.

 

The PMS officers, who are actively engaged in field operations as well as office-based coordination around the clock, have pledged to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people and government in providing relief.Our officers are performing their duties 24/7 in this humanitarian situation, and we assure our all out support for the affected communities, the statement read.

As a mark of their commitment, the PMS Association has formally requested the deduction of one day salary from all Provincial Management Service officers in the province to contribute towards the flood relief fund.Additionally, the Association’s chairman, Mr. Noman Wazir, has gone a step further by requesting that his entire salary be donated to support the victims.

This contribution is a small gesture of solidarity and compassion with the affected families.The Association is committed to extending every possible assistance to help communities recover from this tragedy, Mr. Wazir stated in his appeal.

The move by the PMS Association has been widely appreciated, as government departments, civil society, and relief agencies continue to mobilize resources to address the humanitarian crisis.
