THATHA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) district Thatha staged a big public rally here to protest short supply of water to Sindh.
The protestors also staged sit -in at the end of rally at traffic chowki Thatha.
PPP parliamentarians including Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Jam Gohram Khan Jokio, Ashiq Hussain Zardari, Sussi Palejo, Sadiq Ali, Hameed Pinhor , Imtiaz Qureshi and Syed Mahmood participated in the rally.
The PPP leaders in their address to the rally demanded water sharing among provinces under Water Accord 1991. They warned that water crisis can cause irriparable loss to Sindh.
Meanwile, Sindh chief minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has raised the issue of water short supply to Sindh in a letter addressed to prime minister, Imran Khan, and urged for resolution to the issue on top priority basis.
