LAHORE: Pakistan People Party (PPP) and Jamaat e Islami (JI) agreed here on Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek. e Insaf (PTI) government of Imran Khan have damaged Pakistan beyond repair and it was high time for the like minded political parties to. join hand to send this incompetent government to send home.
PPP top leader and former president , Asif Ali Zardari had a one and half hours long meeting with JI chief, senator Sirajul Haq at Mansoora to convince the JI leadership to support opposition’s no trust move against Imran Khan as prime minister.
The leadership of the both political parties had identical views that Imran Khan has damaged key institutions of Pakistan and caused huge loss to the country through their wrong policies. These leaders also had same views that continuity of Imran Khan rule would compromise Pakistan’s security. The JI and PPP top leadership also were convinced that Imran Khan’s around 4 years rule has turned the lives of the people of Pakistan. into the hell. They agreed to send Imran Khan government packing to save the country and people from further devastation .
PPP top leader. was assisted by former prime minister , Raja Pervez Ashraf and Rukhsana Banghash and JI chief was assisted by niab Ameer , Liaqat Baloch, Dr Ibrahim, Mian Aslam , Farid Paracha and other party leaders.
Later, Raja Ashraf Pervez and Liaqat Baloch briefed media persons on Thursday’s meeting between PPP and JI. Liaqat Baloch said PPP leadership has sought JI support for upcoming no trust against prime minister. He added that JI leadership told Asif Ali Zardari and his team that JI will take a final decision on PPP proposal in its meeting to be held in a couple of days.
Liaqat Baloch added that PPP leadership was told during the meeting that JI believes in democratic norms and it would not support any unconstitutional mean to dethrown prime minister Imran Khan.
