THATHA/KARACHI: On the direction of Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party workers staged protest and sit in in Thatha, Badin, Laar, Larkana and other cities of Sindh. The PPP workers also staged protests in Lahore, Islamabad and almost in all other cities across Pakistan against rising inflation and unemployment in the country. The protestors chanted slogans against the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government and prime minister, Imran Khan for bringing the worst kind of price -hike and unemployment in the country.
The protestors called the policies of the PTI government as anti people and demanded of the prime minister to resign and call new elections in the country.
PPP chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in a statement issued to the media by his media team on Friday said huge participation of the people in the protest against the price hike across Pakistan indicated that Imran Khan government does not have public mandate to rule the country any more . The PPP chairman demanded that the prime minister, Imran Khan, should resign to pave way for fresh general elections in the country.
In Thatha , a large number of people participated in the protest, sit-in led by Senator, Sussi Palejo, in Laden Badin against rising inflation and growing unemployment in the country. She alleged that due to incompetent government, Pakistan was in huge debt. She added that selected government has handed over the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other national assets to the International Monetory Fund (IMF). She added that the people were suffering from inflation and unemployment but the PTI government was indifferent to the situation. Sussi noted that Laar, Thatta, Badin and Kati Bandar were suffering from drought due to inadequate distribution of water by the federal government. She noted that the economic crisis of farmers and sailors was getting worse due to wrong policies of the present government.
