Islamabad : President, Asif Ali Zardari , has signed the Election Act Amendment Bill 2024 approved by the National Assembly and the Senate.
After President Asif Ali Zardari signing the Election Act Amendment Bill 2024, the Senate Secretariat has been turned off for gazette notification.
Sources say that the Gazette Notification of the Election Act Amendment Bill will be issued soon.
It should be remembered that the Election Act Amendment Bill was approved by the National Assembly two days ago, while the Senate also approved the Election Act Amendment Bill yesterday.
On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged the Election Act Amendment Bill in the Supreme Court and requested to declare the Election Act Amendment Bill passed by the National Assembly null and void.
