ISLAMABAD . The Pakistan Tehreek- e – Insaf (PTI) has challenged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) second amendment bill 2021 , citing that the bill in question was introduced by the coalition government to benefit the ruling elite .
The tweet issued by the PTI here said chairman Iman Khan challenged the amendments in NAB ordinance under article 184 (3) of the constitution.
The coalition government had introduced two key bills ..Election Reforms Bill 2022 and NAB Ordinance (second amendment) Bill 2021 which sailed through the parliament .
PTI chairman , Imran Khan , vehemently opposed both bills and blamed the government of introducing the bill to amend NAB law with a purpose to provide relief to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz ( PML-N) top leaders .
The PTI chairman had also announced to challenge the amendment in NAB laws in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).
The government is defending amendments in NAB and Elections laws and it calls these amendments in line with its promise of introducing reforms in these key areas .
