ISLAMABAD, October 29, 2024: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has dismissed speculation about internal divisions within the party, stating there is no forward bloc.
He characterized the current situation as a difference of opinion rather than dissent among party ranks.
Speaking to reporters outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad, Gohar emphasized that PTI is a democratic party where leadership and workers are treated equally.
“We value the concerns of everyone, from our leaders to our workers. We do not support silencing anyone’s voice,” he stated.
When questioned about former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry’s comments regarding the party leadership, Gohar noted that any decision regarding Chaudhry’s return to the PTI would ultimately be made by the party’s incarcerated founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, the ATC extended Gohar’s interim bail related to a case concerning a PTI lawyers’ protest outside the Supreme Court. The court hearing was adjourned until November 21.
