Islamabad : Jan 17: Top leadership of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf ,(PTI) including its founder chairman , Imran Khan, and dozens of other senior party leaders have not been given any relief by the high courts for 2024 general elections.
PTI leaders who have been disqualified for February 8 , elections included Shah Mahmood Qureahi , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and Fawad Chaudhary. These key leaders of PTI had challenged returning officers’ (ROs) decisions of rejecting their nomination papers . The high courts upheld ROs decisions in the case of Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Hussain Chaudhary and many other bigwigs of PTI. PTI’s Azam Swati, who had gone into hiding soon after dismissal of Imran Khan’s government in the Centre and still his whereabouts are unknown, also opted not to contest ,2024 general elections . PTI’s hundreds of aspirants have been disqualified for 2024 general elections.
Despite ouster of Imran Khan and many other top leaders , PTI is very much in the context for February 8 elections. PTI top leadership is confident that their party is going to win 2024 elections with thumping majority.
