Lahore: With slowing down of COVID-19, the Punjab government has eased out restriction for educational institutions permitting them to open up their administrative offices with adoption of standard operating procedures (SOPs), however, schools both public and private sectors will not be allowed to start educational facilities till further order.
An official order of the Punjab government issued after a meeting of the committee constituted by the provincial government to cope-up with corona virus threat said” District education authorizes, public and private schools in Punjab, are allowed to open-up administrative offices by putting SOPs in place, however, they are allowed to conduct any teaching facility. All other earlier restrictions and exemptions will remain in force”
Private schools have been resisting against restrictions placed in by the government and calling these measures a serious blow to educational activities. They demand early resumption of educational activities at schools and colleges level subject to implementation of SOPs.
