ISLAMABAD; in a bid to stem spread of COVID-19 virus during Eidul Asia, the Punjab government has ordered complete shut down of all commercial markets across the province. Provincial Information Fayyad Chohan announced closure of commercial across Punjab on July 27. He said the commercial activities will remain closed from today mid night (July 27) to August 5 to avoid gatherings at public places and in markets. Cohan added the new tough measure were being introduced to avoid Eidul Fiter like situation that gave big spike to the corona virus. Meanwhile, advisor to Prime minister on Health, Dr Mirza has urged upon the public to strictly follow standard operational procedures (SOPs) during Eidul Azha . The government has announced public holiday for Eidul Azha from July 31 to August 2, 2020. Dr Zafar Mirza also asked the public to buy sacrificial animals online to avoid grouping in the animal markets.
