LAHORE, November 6, 2024: Work on upgrading Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore is moving forward at a fast pace as preparations ramp up for the ICC Champions Trophy.
Key improvements include the installation of six new floodlight towers, with the replacement of the stadium’s aging lighting system.
The process of removing the old floodlights from three of the six towers has been completed, and work is ongoing on the remaining three towers.

The old lights will be replaced with modern, energy-efficient LED lights, which are expected to be fully installed soon.
In addition to the lighting upgrades, two state-of-the-art digital screens are set to be installed at the stadium, further enhancing the matchday experience for spectators.
Renovations to the main building are also nearing completion, with around 50% of the overall upgrade work finished.

The comprehensive upgrades are being carried out to bring the stadium up to international standards ahead of the prestigious tournament.
The full completion of the Qaddafi Stadium upgrade is scheduled for December 31, 2024, ensuring the venue is ready in time for the ICC Champions Trophy, where top international cricket teams will compete.
