ISLAMABAD : Despite possible threatening reaction from the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah, seems determined to arrest ousted prime minister , Imran Khan.
In. a number of tweets , Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah, chided Imran Khan and his party. In one of the tweets, Rana Sanaullah said ” Inqalab reached Bani Gala in Islamabad on a helicopter to chair a party meeting “. In another tweet, Rana Sanaullah said there are around one dozen cases registered against PTI chief for inciting his followers to damage public properties and state assets . He added that the PTI chief will be arrested on expiry of his protective bail and would be tried under the law of the land. Rana Sanaullah claimed the PTI chief will be arrested by the same security personnel who have been deployed for his security at Bani Gala. The Interior minister added that Imran Khan and his colleagues had disappeared after failed long march on May 25. He said the government will not these “Inqalab” create law and order situation in the country.
Imran Khan had obtained protected bail from Peshawar High Court (PHC) till June 25, 2022.
The government is determined to arrest Imran Khan come what may and the PTI is gearing up to give quick reaction in case its party chief is arrested in any case .
Imran Khan had made Peshawar his base for politics fearing arrest in long march related violence .
At least one dozen cases have been registered at different police stations in different cities for having violent long march on Islamabad on May 25 last and he can be arrested in these cases as his protective bail expires on June 25, 2022.
