MAKKAH (Saudi Arabia) : A joint decoration issued on the conclusion of prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif ‘s meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS) brings good news for Pakistan. It said Saudi Arabia will invest $ billion in Pakistan as a part of its first phase. Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , had visited Saudi Arabia from April 6 to 8 to seek Saudi investment in Pakistan.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia His Excellency Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif held an official meeting today at Al-Safa Palace, Makkah.
The Saudi Crown Prince congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on his assumption of office and expressed his best wishes for him.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the unwavering support and hospitality of Saudi Arabia and reiterated Pakistan’s determination to promote bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
The focus of the discussion between the two leaders was to find ways to further strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries and increase cooperation in various fields.
In the meeting, Saudi Arabia’s contribution to Pakistan’s economy was appreciated and mutual determination was expressed to increase cooperation between the two countries in terms of business and investment.
The two leaders reiterated their commitment to complete the first phase of the new Saudi investment package worth $5 billion in Pakistan as soon as possible.
The two leaders also discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest, including the worrisome situation in Gaza. They called for international efforts to stop Israeli military operations in Gaza and reduce human casualties. Both leaders urged the international community to increase pressure on Israel to stop its illegal actions. Come and abide by international law. Both leaders stressed the need for unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza. They discussed relevant Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, as well as the need to advance the Arab Peace Initiative, which aims to establish a just and inclusive Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. A solution is to be found.
Both sides emphasized the importance of dialogue between the two countries to resolve the disputes between Pakistan and India, especially the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan invited the Saudi Crown Prince to pay an official visit to Pakistan as soon as possible, which the Crown Prince accepted.
