RAWALPINDI ,:Nov 4 : The security forces thwarted terrorist attack on Air Force Training Airbase Mianwali on Saturday.
The statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) said terrorists attempted to attack the Mianwali Air Base in the early morning today.
Alhamdulillah, due to the immediate and effective action of the troops deployed at the airbase, the terrorist attack was foiled.
ISPR added that three terrorists were killed while trying to enter the airbase while three have been surrounded.
Three ships already grounded were damaged during the attack.
ISPR says that a fuel bowser was also damaged during the attack, clearance and combing operation is going on.
Pakistan forces will ensure the elimination of terrorism from the country at any cost.
The statement further informed that as a result of prompt action, security of personnel and assets was ensured.
