Addressing the students, the Chairman Senate highlighted the modern medical requirements and the role of technology, saying, “You are stepping into a world that is rapidly evolving — medically, technologically, and socially. Advanced technologies like telemedicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming the healthcare sector across the globe, including in Pakistan. AI is playing a significant role in accurate diagnosis, predictive treatment, identifying therapy targets, data analysis, personalized treatment planning, and improving child health.”
He emphasized that young doctors and institutions must play their part in research and development. Young doctors must stay informed about these modern tools and innovations so that they can bring revolutionary changes to Pakistan’s healthcare sector. He appealed to institutions like this and the other private sector to invest in research and development and, in particular, improve access to quality healthcare services in rural and underserved areas.
Reminding the graduating students of their professional responsibilities, the Chairman Senate said, “You are not merely entering a profession; you are becoming part of a national mission — of care, healing, and leadership. The strength of our nation, how we face crises, and how we build a healthy future for all, will be determined by your skills.”
In conclusion, he asserted with determination, “As Chairman Senate, I assure you that we are committed to improving the healthcare sector in Pakistan through legislation, effective oversight, and supportive policy guidance.
