ISLAMABAD: Uproar created by the first leaked video is yet to get over and now a new video leaked on Tuesday here made Yousaf Raza Gilani’s case worse as far as the Senate election 2021 is concerned.
The new leaked video shows , Ali Haider Gilani, son of Yousaf Raza Gilani , teaching methods to MNAs to spoil the vote in the senate elections.
The leaked videos established two things.
One, PPP leadership is not innocent as it always claims and its style of politics revolves around corruption and corrupt practices . Second,, the senate elections had always been a center of sale and purchase . One can call senate elections a dirty business and a mockery of Pakistan’s democracy. In other words, upper house which is considered a house of lords is not house of lords, but a den of villions.
Since start of the race for senate in January last , Pakistan Democratic Movement ( PDM) …alliance of opposition …was trying to make its candidate — Yousaf Raza Gilani–a winning candidate, but the new leaked video proved otherwise. The new development can bring serious legal repercussions for Gilanis.
After surfacing of the leaked video, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government did not waste any time . It filed an application with the Election Commission of Pakistan to probe the leaked video case and disqualify Yousaf Raza Gilani for contesting elections of the upper house.
The government efforts put the Election Commission of Pakistan in action and it immediately took notice of the leaked video.
The leaked video is a serious case. If proven, It will not bite Yousaf Raza Gilani only. Instead, it can hit entire political system and process of electioneering of Pakistan.
Many in Pakistan believe that the leaked videos are enough to establish that entire Pakistan’s political system was like a gutter and meant for fraudulent characters.
Even prior to surfacing of the second leaked video , Yousaf Raza Gilani was at the losing end for senate race as number game was not in his favour , but the new development has turned him into a rogue character of Pakistan’s politics.
PPP top leadership, particularly, its magician , Mr Asif Ali Zardari , may not have any answer to this new bombshell,,the leaked video. One can say leaked video is going to be heavier than Zardari known for ” Aik Zardari sub pay bhari”.
