ISLAMABAD . August 9, 2022. Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah, on Tuesday told a press conference that Shahbaz Gill has been arrested in a case of inciting public against the state institutions .
He said Shahbaz Gill tried to create division among top military ranks in a TV show of a private media outlet . Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI);prepared a script to create division among the military ranks and included a private television channel to conspire against the state institutions.
He said Shahbaz Gill and Fawad Chaudhary were tasked to push anti state agenda through some selected media channels. Rana Sanaullah also noted that other characters of the channel where Shahbaz Gill uttered anti state agenda would be investigated.
Rana Sanaullah regarding Shaikh Rashid Ahmad said he is a non entity and there was no need to arrest him.

Within hours after Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) leaders claimed that Shahbaz Gill, Imran Khan’s chief security officer (CSO), has been kidnapped, Islamabad police have confirmed that PTI leader was arrested in anti state institutions campaign case.
The Islamabad police on Tuesday said Shahbaz Gill has been booked in inciting the public against the state institutions case.
PTI chairman , Imran Khan, strongly condemned arrest of Shahbaz Gill and summoned ah emergent meeting of the party to discuss the situation after this arrest.

Earlier, PTI has claimed that some unidentified men have abducted Shahbaz Gill, Imran Khan’s chief security officer (CSO) , from Bani Gala Chawk , in a car with no number plate
Fawad Chaudhary , PTI senior leader, in his tweet on Tuesday said Shahbaz Gill has been ‘kidnapped’ by some unknown persons from Bani Gala Chawk in Islamabad .
In his tweet , Fawad Chaudhary , said ” Shahbaz Gill’s ‘kidnapping’ from Islamabad is the worst example of cruelty and those who did it should get ready to get its backlash’.
Furrukh Habib , another PTI leader, also condemned ‘kidnapping’ of Shahbaz Gill in his tweet .
Shireen Mizari linked the incident with US conspiracy hatched against Imran Khan and his party. Shireen Mizari links every thing that occurs in Pakistan with the US conspiracy.
A couple of days ago , she condemned US ambassador to Islamabad’s visit to Kyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) with the same her beloved US conspiracy without considering that its own party government in the province .
Shahbaz Gill was wanted in a fake security case and he might have been picked up by some investigation agency to probe some case
Shahbaz Gill had exposed himself to an unlawful activity during Punjab’s by poll in Mazafargarh when he was intercepted by the Punjab police on election day for having private security in Rangers uniform .
Shahbaz Gill, being a vocal politician and die hard of Imran Khan, hurling threats to different departments like the police and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in recent weeks .
Till filing of these, the government has not responded to PTI leaders claims on Shahbaz Gill’s ‘kidnapping’.
