Lahore (Newsman): Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, was called by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today to express his sincere condolences to the country’s fraternal citizens for the loss of life and property resulting from recent floods brought on by heavy rainfall in many states.
He reassured the prime minister of Malaysia that during these difficult times, the people of Pakistan supported their Malaysian counterparts. He also appreciated the Malaysian government’s prompt action in handling this natural disaster.
The prime minister committed to helping Malaysia in whatever way he could and declared that humanitarian aid would be sent right away as a sign of Pakistan’s solidarity with its Malaysian brothers and sisters.

The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and expressed satisfaction with the improving trajectory of bilateral relations, recalling Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s recent visit to Pakistan in October of this year.
He was pleased to see that several of the trade-related problems the Malaysian Prime Minister had highlighted during his visit had already been settled amicably.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his assistance. He said the two countries must continue to work closely on strengthening ties in all important areas.

The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister are anticipated to visit Kuala Lumpur early in the upcoming year, as both leaders also decided to maintain the momentum of high-level visits.
