To add insult to the injury, a state within a state is face to face and eye ball to eye ball to the masses, who demand free and fair elections that is turning out to be their greatest fear as it looks they no more wield the influence to act as the king makers, once the general public began to assert themselves and their rights to the franchise .
In a State of denial, the state has chosen the path of confrontation without realising that the more force is used would result into counter force that ultimately will lead to anarchy.
The little deterrence that the state exercises through Judiciary and it forces is sooner than later about to be challenged that will lead to civil war the situation that those blinded by their powers that the state vested in them unfortunately could neither see nor feel. There still exists a false euphemism that the power of state will prevail against all odds the blunder for which Pakistan once paid by losing half of the country.
It is sad to see hide and seek between the PTI protesters, the police and the para military Pakistan Rangers , who threaten to arrest their leader on flimsy grounds despite his having neither evaded Court appearance nor ever challenged them or accused the judges for being biased something that has been unfortunately the norm in the Pakistani dirty political arena where hypocritical political forces always adopted the cloak and dagger policy against their political opponents employing the worst state sponsored coercive tactics ranging from false cases, black mailing, arrests and custodial torture .
The biggest threat in this whole scenario is to democracy itself in whose name Pakistan tried to justify its political existence. The day the democracy ceases to exist that the void would be filled sooner than later by the right wing political forces to be supported whole heartedly from across the border.
The democratic world under the US standard not only under estimated the Ukrainian conflict but the political conflict in Pakistan that is likely to give birth to yet another Iranian styled revolution that would give rise to a new anti- American block of PIA (Pakistan – Iran Afghanistan) that will pose graver challenge to the American dominance than Imran Khan who is considered a perceived threat by the Americans against their hegemonic designs in the region that is proving their greatest gamble greater than great game they previously played in the region. .
