ISLAMABAD; Prime minister, Imran Khan , on Monday said Pakistan’s decision to side with the United State (US) in the war against terror was a dark period that caused irriparable loss to Pakistan.
The prime minister was speaking at Margalla Dialogue 21 event as a chief guest here on Monday.
Imran Khan counted sacrifices of Pakistan for the war on terror and deplored that the US bombed our people when we were its ally in the war against terror.
Imran Khan has his views on Pakistan’s policy of supporting the US in the war against terror even before coming in power. He had always called Pakistan’s decision to support the US in the war as a bad decision and scolded then government for pushing Pakistan into the war which he considers of others.
The prime minister also criticised Western media for blaming Pakistan of double game despite paying huge price for join the war on terror. He said Western media, instead appreciating Pakistan for its role in the war on terror, labelled Pakistan as a state having double standard on the issue. He said the US aid was megre than loss that Pakistan occured during the war on terror.
Imran Khan said Pakistan now onward would.never become a party to others war. He said his government will make sure Pakistan never compromise on its national interest in any case.
The official statistics suggest that Pakistan suffered loss of $ 150 billion due to the war on terror, besides losing 80 thousands human lives.
