THATHA. Sindh chief minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has categorically opposed uniform syllabus for the educational institutions in his province. He said Sindh has a better syllabus and it would not opt for a uniform syllabus introduced by the federal government recently.
Prime minister, Imran Khan, had introduced uniform syllabus in Punjab a few days ago and It was later opted by Khyber pukhtunkhaw(KPK ) and Balochistan.
In all three provinces.. Punjab, KPK and Balochistan…Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) is in power and probably for the same their governments accepted the uniform syllabus without any resistance.
Sindh had differences with the federal government over the uniform syllabus and it had opposed the idea at an initial stage.
Murad Ali Shah reiterated his views on the uniform education syllabus while speaking with local media in Raaj .Malik at the residece of Pakistan People Party (PPP) MPA and party president of Sajawal district , Mohammad Ali Malkani, and party secretary information of Sajawal, Sajawal Soraj Sojawali.
The chief minister had visited Raaj Malik in Sajawal to offer fateh for departed soul of deceased mother of PPP leaders.
Provincial minister, Imtiaz Shaikh, Shabbir Bajarani, Makesh Chawla, Manzoor Wasan, special assistant Sadiq Ali Mamon, MPA Riaz Shah, Shirazi, ex district Nazim, Shafqat Hussain Shah Shirazi and other party leaders were accompanying the chief minister.
Murad Ali Shah said Sindh was not heard on the uniform sylabus to which he called a sylabus of PTI.
The chief minister said” The uniform syllabus is infact a PTI syllabus and it can not be applied in Sindh”.
Responding to a question, Murad Ali Shah said paucity of water hurts Sindh’s tail end districts like Sajawal, Thatha, Badin and Dadu and we hope the center will not deprive Sindh of its water share.
To another question, the chief minister said the provincial government has done strict security arrangements in the wake of Afghanistan situation for protection of human lives and properties. He called Moach goth incident as a coward act.
