Stop labelling traders as thieves: Anjuman e Tajran warns govt

ISLAMABAD: Anjuman e Tajran and Traders Action Committee has warned of strong protest against the government if its mininsters continued to call traders thieves and profiteers. In a statement issued by Anjuman e Tajran and Traders Action Committee leaders president, Ajmal Baloch, and secretary , Khalid Chaudhary, presidents and secretaries of different markets of Islamabad including Asad Aziz, Shahzad Abbasi , Chaudhary Riasat , Abid Abbasi, Syed Altaf Shah, Shahid Abbasi, Chaudhary Irfan, Chaudhary Zafar Gujjar, Raja Khurrum Niaz took serious notice of the ministers’ malicious campaign against trading committee by calling it thieves and frofiteers. These trader leaders said the traders community gives top priority to the national interest .and it will not tolerate uncalled for rant of the ministers aimed at their character assassination. Ajmal Baloch ,Khalid Chaudhary and other leaders of trading community added that it was the government itself, which was responsible of unprecedented price-hike in the country. The trader leaders questioned the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government on its performance. They maintained that poor planning and incompetence of the PTI government has created an unmanageable economic crisis in the country. These trader leaders expressed serious concern over 7th upward revision in petrol prices in a row which the said has made the people lives miserable. The trader leaders urged upon the government to avoid those steps ,which could add more pressure on commoners. Anjuman e Tajran leaders held “imported: governor State Bank responsible of dollar over valuation against the rupee. The traders accused the government of providing protection and undue profit to oil marketing companies by making repeated upward revisions in the oil prices. They demanding of the government to reverse the recent increase in petroleum products .
