PESHAWAR : Jan 30,2023:. The deaths in Peshawar suicide attack at a mosque in the police line have reached at 59 . The rescue operation is continuing even after several hours.
The banned Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility of Monday’s attack and said the attack is ‘Revenge’ of killing of Karasani . TTP commander Karasani was killed by Pakistan’s forces during an operation last year.

A suicide bomber ripped through a mosque inside the police lines in Peshawar on Monday, killing at least 28 persons and injuring 150 others.
The alleged suicide bomber targeted the police men during :Zohar’ prayer in the mosque in police line in Peshawar .
Peshawar Deputy Commissioner, Saifullah Khan , said the attack in the police line was a suicide attack and the bomber targeted the police during the prayer .
He said initial investigations have confirmed that the attack in mosque in the Peshawar line was a suicide attack.
Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah, also spoke to the media and said in Islamabad that the suicide bomber’s target was the police .
Defence minister , Khawaja Asif , said the suicide bomber blew him up to target the policemen during ‘Zohar’ prayer. He said the suicide attack in the mosque was unfortunate.
Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) Governor , Haji Ghulam Ali , rushed to the attack site to see the emergency aid and recovery of the dead and injured from the debries of the mosque .
He confirmed in his talk to the media killing of 28 people majority policemen and injuring of 150 others. He appealed to the people for blood donations for immediate treatment to save those who have injured in the blast .
The police line in Peshawar is a high security region in Peshawar . In this area , there are residences of the police and it is closed to the Peshawar High Courts . Entry of a suicide bomber in such a highly sensitive area is a big challenge to the authorities.
