ISLAMABAD; After 23 days of takeover , Taliban announced their interm government and cabinet in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, announced the formation of Afghan government and cabinet at a press conference held in Kabul.
Mohammad Hasan Akhwand would be the head and prime minister of new Afghan government. Mullah Abdul Ghani Bardar will be the deputy prime minister of Taliban government. Other members of the cabinet included
Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid Defence minister. Abdul Haq Intellegence Chief, Amir Khan Mutiqi , Foreign minister, Zabiullah Mujahid said the new government will start function from September 8, 2021.
He added that Kabul airport has become operational and those who want to travel to go abroad from Afghanistan can do so without any trouble. Taliban spokesman reiterated that new Afghan government would not allow the use of Afghan soil against any other country. He maintained that accusitions of Pakistan’s involvement in Afghanustan was mere a rumour. He said Afghanistan will not allow anyone to intervene in its affairs. He said Taliban were working in Afghanistan with full liberty.
According to Zabiullah Mujahid , Taliban fought against multi -national forces to liberate Afghanistan on their own resources.
