KARACHI : Terror visited Karachi yet again on Monday . This time the terrorists targeted police van close to Mamon mosque in Bolton market here during its routine checking . The terrorists used motorbike to use explosive for the blast . The explosive was detonated by a romute control which claimed life of a passerby women who was riding in a rikshaw, besides injuring one dozen people .
According to the initial investigation report ,the blast was aimed at police van . The report said one assistance sub inspector and three other cops injured in the blast
Karachi is main target of the terrorists for some time. In the last one week or so, the city braced three blasts. Undoubtedly, the terrorists are taking advantage of the current political crisis to damage Pakistan . Of course , the prevailing political situation could be an ideal opportunity for anti Pakistan forces . Those who are pushing the political crisis to make it even worse are intentionally or intentionally posing threat to Pakistan ‘s security . Terror activities started in Karachi with suicide bombing at Karachi university last month . Then terrorists changed their strategy and targeted busy commercial area of Saddar and it was followed by a bomb blast in Bolton market on Monday. Both blasts in Saddar and Bolton market have the same methodology . For both blasts , the terrorists used ball baring. The similarities suggest a common group is involved in bombing in Karachi.
The Sindh government is on foot to react to the situation arising out of terror activities . Its police are fighting the evil boldly, but the political turmoil is making its job difficult .
Deputy Inspector general police Karachi South , Sharjeel Kharal, visited the blast scene and brief the media on the nature of the blast . He said the terrorists were using locally made explosive for terrorist activities in Karachi. Provincial minister , Saeed Ghani , also visited the scene. He told media persons that terrorists were challenging the state ,but the police and other forces were alert to foil anti Pakistan plan.
