Thunderstorm , rains predicted for May 27-31 in upper and central parts of Pakistan: NDMA issues alert

Islamabad : The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Monday issued a weather update wherein it said moist currents are continuously penetrating upper and central parts of the country from
27th (evening / night) May 2025 and a westerly wave is also likely to enter Upper parts on 28th May 2025 and likely to remain in the parts of the country till 31st May 2025. Under the said weather system, following are the likely impacted areas.

Pakistan is facing abrupt changes in weather . In recent weeks ,it braved dangerous hailstorms and rains. These quick weather changes caused huge loss to Pakistan’s seasonal crops and other assets. Just a few days ago , 13 people lost their lives in heavy lightening and hailstorms. It also damaged crops and properties in the Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) and other upper regions of Pakistan

PDMA in its recent weather alert has cautioned to the people to take protective measures to off set possible damage of the next predicted hailstorm and rains.
