ISLAMABAD :. You might have heard a controversial slogan ‘ Mera jism Meri Meri” ,…my body, my will… raised during woman march over the years. Though this controversial slogan did not go well for a section of women which wanted to hi,- jack the real issues faced with women in Pakistan like deprivation of basic rights, lack of proper laws to ensure rightful share to womenfolk in assets left by the family elders and so on so forth, but you might have heard a new slogan ‘Meray gifts, Meri murzi’ …my gifts , my will …for the first time . This slogan has not been raised by any woman or by the way by any Eunice . Rather its director, producer and presenter is former prime minister , Imran Khan. Ironically, the guy had been and is right now also giving sermons to the people of Pakistan on fighting out corruption from the society . He never hesitates from quoting Islamic teachings relating to honesty in his addresses to the public . When the guy had grabbed precious gifts from ‘Tosha Khana’ at his desired price to sell them later in the open market for money, he might have no idea that this “trade to make easy money” will expose him some day to the nation whom he never forgets to teach honesty and rule of law. Grabbing of gifts of worth Rs over 140 million and making abortive bid to dodge the rule of law is more than enough to expose Imran Khan’s level of honesty and modesty to the public. His body language and use of disrespectful phrase ” Meray gifts , meri merzi” is more than enough to establish that Imran Khan hardly has any morality or respect for the rule of law. In any circumstances , can a ruler ever think of selling gifts given to him by head of the governments during his visit to different countries . But this “honest” and revolutionary leader of this nation did it. He should have stopped for a moment and think what those dignitaries might feel when they would come to know that the prime minister of Pakistan had sold their gifts in open market for money. Now the ‘honest’ leader of Pakistan seems in serious trouble over gifts business . He has to defend his disrespectful action before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) which has sought details of gifts taken by “The Sadiq and Ameen’ leader from ‘Tosha Khana’ . He may be in shock to hear the orders of IHC issued on Wednesday that the Cabinet Division should get all gifts back from all those who made ‘Tosha Khana” a trade house to earn money. The judge’s remarks that the gifts taken away by the ‘Sadiq and Ameen ” and other past rulers were to place in the government custody and not to take home or sell in the open market to make money. The nation will see the real face of its ‘Sadiq and Ameen’ when the court would proceed with the case in coming days.
