KARACHI: October 24,2022:. US dollar rates remain unchanged in domestic currency market on Monday
US dollar opened- up at Rs 220.25 in interbank and it closed at the same at the end of trading day.
In open market , USD also remained at its last Friday level of Rs 222.70.
For a number of days , USD is not showing any major change in value .
Finance minister , Ishaq Dar, seems difficult to tame dollar mafia led by the banks . The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is not doing anything to control dollar mafia .
On Mr Dar’s pressure , SBP did issue notices to the banks including National Bank of Pakistan. (NBP), but there was no stringent action taken against 8 banks which were found involved in the rupee hi-jacking .
Since take over as Finance minister , Ishaq Dar, is publically accusing the banks of high jacking the rupee.
