Riyadh : The “9th Middle East VRF Conference” was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the auspices of CPI Industry. The conference focused on the challenges of climate change and the promotion of sustainable HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technologies. Experts, Consultants,industry leaders, and Government officials attended the event and discussed solutions for energy efficiency and environmental protection through the latest VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) technologies.
Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the conference highlighted the role of VRF technology in achieving Saudi Arabia’s green initiatives and sustainable development goals.
Climate change experts emphasized that the installation of smart cooling systems in hot regions has now become a necessity. The conference showcased cutting-edge VRF systems capable of saving up to 40% in energy consumption. In Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, more than 70% of electricity consumption during summer is attributed to air conditioning. In this context, advanced VRF systems not only offer energy savings but also help mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The event featured participation from Pakistani company Windmason Arabia and Bait Al-Salat as knowledge strategic partners, both of which have played a vital role in promoting HVAC technology in the region.
The speaker lineup featured industry authorities including Ubaidullah Khaja Mohamed Siddiqui (Tatweer), Mohamed Yassen (President Saudi ASHRAE), Dr. Iyad Al-Attar (Cranfield University), Anas Alfar (Hussain & Al Hassan G. Shaker Bros.), Yazan Al Zyoud (Samsung Electronics), and Shakeel Ahmed Kayani (Windmason Arabia), who delivered an engaging session on Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IDEC) in extreme climates.
