As war sirens are being installed and tested across Pakistan, this file picture of a second world war amuses me all the more because of the bicycle than the dreaded German bomber in the background. Modi, as a vegetarian, is supposed to be of a composed nature, as opposed to his instantaneous outburst at Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack on tourists in Kashmir. The other day, I read an old mother’s appeal to Modi to replace the aging fleet of Rafale aircraft that killed her young fighter pilot son. The old man would better keep his cool rather than create embarrassment for himself or his countrymen, because for Pakistan, it would be a God-gifted opportunity to reschedule its loans and breathe freely for another couple of years. I would advise our military top brass to keep the Cholistan and Thar corridor free and open for the Indians walk over to enable us test our advanced weaponry with impunity on our own soil . Pakistanies are otherwise kind hearted by nature and I am sure it will volunteer to return the dead bodies with full military honour to Modi Sirkar.
As for the copied picture, it features Melitta von Stauffenberg, an outstanding pilot and aeronautical engineer during WWII at the German Luftwaffe, which took the world by storm. Stauffenberg worked specifically on the German lethal Ju-87 Stuka dive bomber, dreaded for its accuracy in dropping bombs dead on target, besides its intimidating siren that, once activated, would terrify troops on the ground. I hope the sirens installed on our side of the divide are not meant to frighten common citizens, but rather to boost their morale to face the wrath of Modi, if matters go that far, which I doubt.
This brave lady, while serving with the Luftwaffe (German Air Force), made over 1,500 test flights with dive-bombers. On April 8, 1945, she was shot down by American fighters while test-flying and died of her injuries several hours later. She was not as lucky as the Indian fighter pilot Abhinandan, who was hosted over a cup of tea and returned to a hero’s welcome .
War is not child’s play; it costs money, and neither country can afford such luxury when they buy weapons to be used against each other. I think India and Pakistan would better buy brains to solve their bilateral issues than spend billions to destroy each other. Modi Ji is advised to treat himself to a lavish serving of watermelon to keep himself hydrated for clear thinking, rather than being carried away by the evil thought of the genocide of millions of innocent souls living downstream by denying them water, as if earning himself the coveted title of the Butcher of Gujarat is not enough qualification for fascism.
Let Modi Ji ride his first flight of attacking Indian Air Force squadrons of his prized MiG-21 & Rafales across the Line of Control, where the separated Kashmiris on this side of the Line of Control will garland him if the old crook is lucky enough to survive the crash, rather than push millions below the line of poverty on both sides of the divide through his warmongering.
