What Pakistanis Need to Know About UAE Work Visa Changes

Islamabad (Newsman): According to a new requirement by the Bureau of Emigration, applicants must submit a police character certificate to receive a work visa for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This stage is currently required for anyone looking for employment prospects in the United Arab Emirates, according to Adnan Paracha, Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA).

Declaring that it resolves the issues brought up by the UAE government, he praised the ruling.

According to Paracha, several Pakistanis have been accused of begging and other criminal acts in the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized the importance of abiding by UAE laws, given the close and friendly ties between the two countries.

The UAE has already banned “unannounced” visit visas to 24 Pakistani towns; this prohibition has now been expanded to 30 locations. Over the past year, Pakistanis have also encountered obstacles in acquiring work visas, which have prevented more than 100,000 people from finding employment in the United Arab Emirates.

Diplomatic Efforts and Remittances

As Pakistan’s second-largest source of remittances after Saudi Arabia, Paracha emphasized the UAE’s significance and called on the federal government to step up diplomatic efforts to address work visa-related concerns.
