Islamabad : August 5, 2024 : On ‘Youm-E-Istehsal Kashmir day , Pakistani civil and military leadership messages of solidarity is the voice of the entire Pakistani nation.
The Pakistan armed forces stand firmly with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination, stated the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in a press conference on Youm-E-Istehsal Kashmir.
The DG ISPR emphasized the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
Highlighting the ongoing war against terrorism, the Lt Gen Chaudhry revealed that 23,622 operations, both large and small, have been conducted across Pakistan. In the last 15 days alone, 24 terrorists have been killed. On the fifth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the people and Government of Pakistan are observed the ‘Youm-e- Istehsal’ (Day of Exploitation).
The President, the Prime Minister, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, in their special messages on the occasion, have reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmir Cause.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister has addressed letters to the leadership of the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to apprise them of the grave consequences of Indian actions since 5 August 2019. In these letters, the Foreign Minister has also called for implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions to enable the people of Jammu and Kashmir to determine their own future.
On the ‘Youm-e-Istehsal day’, the Foreign Secretary briefed the Islamabad-based diplomatic missions on the situation in IIOJK, on 2 August 2023. He analyzed the situation from the perspective of international law, peace and security, and human rights.
To express solidarity with the oppressed people of IIOJK, a special ‘Walk’ was held in Islamabad this morning along the Constitution Avenue, up to the Parliament Building. The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and the Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan were guests of honor at this occasion.
A range of activities are being organized throughout the country to observe ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’. With the active participation of Pakistani and Kashmiri Diaspora, Pakistan’s diplomatic missions around the world are also arranging special events to raise global awareness about the plight of the Kashmiri people. To express solidarity with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir, a Youm-e-Istehsal’ walk was organized along Constitution Avenue in Islamabad to the Parliament Building. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and Minister of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs were the chief guests on this occasion.
Various activities are being organized across the country to celebrate Youm-e-Istehsal. In the federal capital of Islamabad, Pakistan, a rally was held on Shahrah Dastur organized by All-Party Hurriyat Conference regarding Kashmir Exploitation Day in which students, civil society and representatives of political parties participated.
The Youm-e-Istehsal’ rally started from the Foreign Office and ended by reaching the gate of the Parliament House, a minute’s silence was also observed by the rally participants. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Makam also participated. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says that changing the constitution and ending the rights of Kashmiris is a crude fantasy of India. India has nefarious ambitions to turn the Muslim majority of Occupied Kashmir into a minority. Ishaq Dar further said that Pakistan’s bond with Kashmiris is regional and religious.
Kashmir is the artery of Pakistan and will definitely join Pakistan one day. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam while addressing the Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir rally said that today a large number of Pakistanis have come out for solidarity with Kashmiris, all four. Celebrations are being held in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces, Kashmir will get freedom anyway.

Meanwhile, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar has reiterated his commitment that Pakistan will continue to support the struggle of unarmed Kashmiris against the occupation of occupied Kashmir by India.
He was addressing a news conference in Islamabad along with the Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Makam.

He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s address to the United Nations General Assembly raised his voice for the right of Kashmiris and demanded that the Kashmir issue be resolved as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
The minister said that India should cancel its actions of August 5, 2019, restore the special status of Kashmir and give the right of self-determination to the Kashmiris. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Amir Muqam said that the Kashmiri people are helpless against Indian oppression. They are giving exemplary sacrifices, but they are not ready to accept the domination of New Delhi.
Earlier, in a message on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that India had occupied Jammu on August 5, 2019. Apart from this, Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik’s wife Mashaal Malik has said that the United Nations should resolve the Kashmir issue according to its resolutions.
